Our exhibition was entitled "Shifting Perspectives" and showed work by seven London photographers whose children have Down's syndrome. This work offered alternative representations of both adults and children with Down's syndrome and challenges conventional attitudes and prejudices.

The photographers were Richard & Fiona Bailey, Aviv Yaron & Fiona Field, Katye Brimacombe,
Richard Davis and Maria de Fatima Campos

The exhibition was put together for the Down's Syndrome Awareness Week 2002 and first shown at the Pavilion cafe gallery in North London and later at Sir John Cass Dept of Art Media & Design at the London Metropolitan University, Whitechapel High Street, London E1 7PF
and at Norwich Arts Centre, Norwich

The exhibition has also been on show in the OXO Tower Gallery,
South Bank (by Blackfriars Bridge, London).
From now on the exhibition should coincide each year
with the Down's Syndrome International Day
21st March
