Our exhibition was entitled "Shifting Perspectives" and showed work by seven London photographers whose children have Down's syndrome. This work offered alternative representations of both adults and children with Down's syndrome and challenges conventional attitudes and prejudices.
The
exhibition was put together for the Down's Syndrome Awareness Week
2002 and first shown at the Pavilion cafe gallery in North London
and later at Sir John Cass Dept of Art Media & Design at the London
Metropolitan University, Whitechapel High Street, London E1 7PF The
exhibition has also been on show in the OXO Tower Gallery, Click to see more of the exhibition Click here to see the publicity about the exhibition and the photogarphers Link to the Down's Syndrome London web site Webmaster: Richard Davis photos@campos-davis.com This site is hosted by weborg.co.uk |
